Clinicians and dental technicians all over the world have been using the Amber range of lithium disilicate glass ceramics to create aesthetic, reliable and hardwearing restorations.
Now, DB Lab Supplies is delighted to be in partnership with Korean manufacturer HASS Bio (Human Aid System Supplier) to bring Amber to the UK market.

Explanation
Picture shows Amber Mill. The product possesses excellent visual properties in addition to high edge stability (thin veneer pictured right).

Economical and efficient in application, the Amber range of lithium disilicate ceramics is creating a demand among dental technicians and clinicians.
Amber materials have excellent optical properties, a simple processing method and possess an impressive flexural strength.
The Amber Family includes blocks and blanks for milling (Amber Mill), ingots for pressing (Amber Press), and ingots for pressing over zirconia frameworks (Amber LiSi POZ).

Amber Mill: lithium disilicate for CAD / CAM milling
Amber Mill is available in blocks and blanks and is suitable for the fabrication of crowns, bridges, inlays onlays and veneers.
The nano- lithium disilicate technology (NLD) offers a range of advantages including the unique ability to control translucency by adjusting the firing
temperature - one ingot can produce four variations - HT, MT, LT and MO. The dental technician selects the translucency and the firing temperature determines this.
During the heat treatment, crystal size and density are increased and consequently the mechanical properties are reinforced and translucency value changed.
The higher the temperature when firing, the more opaque the restoration. Even after finalizing, the translucency can still be adjusted as the restoration can be refired from HT-MT onwards. The advantage of this is the ability to achieve a wide spectrum of light-optical properties with a quarter of the usual number of blanks required.
Due to its natural-looking light-reflecting properties (remarkable Opalescence and fluorescence), Amber Mill produces excellent aesthetics.
The biaxial flexural strength is 450 MPa after crystallization, making restorations monolithic, and its strength in its milling state is 250MPa.
These properties enable high edge stability with more predictable mills and no chipping. Amber Mill is also compatible with the majority of veneering ceramics.

Amber Press: Pressed ceramic for all cases

▲Restoration created with Amber Press
Amber Press is available in a wide range of ingots, and is suitable for use for the many indications carried out in everyday laboratory work.
Three translucency levels are offered (HT, LT and MO), and there are a total of 34 shades.
After the pressing process, little to no reaction layer is present. The flexural strength of the material is 460 MPa and, like Amber Mill,
Amber Press is compatible with the majority of veneering ceramics.

“Amber Press is a fantastic new material offering the Dental laboratory superior aesthetics and predictability, whether it is used for Full Contour, or Cutback Techniques. We have been able to produce natural looking restorations, on numerous occasions, which our clinicians have been extremely satisfied with.
Aesthetics, perfectibility and strength = AmberPress”.

Amber LiSi-POZ: High-strength glass ceramic for overpressing
▲Restoration created with Amber LiSi-POZ
▲ With Amber LiSi POZ (overpressable lithium disilicate veneer)
a stable chemical-thermal composite is created between the zirconia framework and the over-pressed veneering structure.

With Amber LiSi-POZ (veneer structure), the material is pressed on to the zirconia framework, creating a unit of scaffolding and veneer.
The zirconia skeleton provides the necessary stability, whilst Amber LiSi-POZ posesses the optical properties similar to natural enamel.
The fatigue strength of restorations made of zirconium oxide frameworks and Amber LiSi-POZ is equivalent to one monolithic zirconia crown.
Indications range from single crowns, to over abutments, to wide-span bridges.
