SHORT BIO
James Choi is an internationally recognized Master Dental Ceramist, educator, and material innovator with more than two decades of experience shaping contemporary esthetic dentistry. Known for his refined ceramic artistry, advanced understanding of color dynamics, and interdisciplinary approach to treatment planning, James has become a respected voice within the global dental technology community.
Since entering the profession in 2000, James has collaborated with some of the most influential figures in modern esthetic dentistry, including Dr. Ed McLaren, Michel Magne, and Don Cornell. In 2012, he earned his Master Dental Ceramist certification from UCLA and later became Laboratory Director and Co-Director of the UCLA Master Ceramist Program in collaboration with Dr. Ed McLaren.
James is widely recognized as one of the principal developers behind the revolutionary "MIYO" Liquid Ceramic System by "Jensen Dental", contributing to the evolution of modern monolithic esthetics, color layering, and simplified ceramic characterization protocols. In 2022, he became the first official "Matisse" instructor in the United States.
