Combining the Convenience of Dry Milling with the Esthetics of Glass-Ceramics

HASS, a company specializing in dental restorative materials, officially launched Amber® DryMill, a lithium disilicate material optimized for dry milling, 

at KDTEX 2026. The event was held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Korea, for three days from July 17 to 19.

The HASS booth attracted a steady stream of dental technicians eager to experience both the convenience of dry milling and the esthetic qualities of glass-ceramics. 

Visitors showed strong interest in HASS’s innovative technology, which is designed to overcome the limitations of conventional materials. 

The high volume of on-site consultations and product trial applications further demonstrated the market’s strong anticipation for the new product.

Amber® DryMill combines the esthetic and biocompatible properties of lithium disilicate (LS2) with the processing advantages commonly associated with zirconia. 

It provides optical properties similar to those of natural teeth while allowing users to process the material within their existing zirconia dry-milling environment, 

without the need for separate wet-milling equipment.

Amber® DryMill was developed to enable reliable processing in a dry-milling environment while reflecting the machining characteristics expected from zirconia materials. 

This allows for precise reproduction of restoration margins while significantly reducing tool wear during the milling process.

In addition, the material’s inherent fluorescence and translucency enable highly esthetic restorations that closely resemble natural teeth. 

Its hydrofluoric acid-etchable structure supports adhesive bonding, making the material suitable for a wide range of clinical applications.

Following successful approval from Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in June, HASS introduced the block-type Amber® DryMill to the market at KDTEX 2026. 

HASS is currently recruiting participants for its product trial program and plans to expand the lineup with the launch of a disc-type product around October.
